A note about Schizophrenia:

Hypnosis may be crucial or an the least an extraordinarily powerful tool for helping get the brain to stop trying to "overperceive". Using language to direct electricity to the parts of the brain that are "misfiring" while someone is in a trance may be an excellent idea. A quick Google search says Schizophrenics may be more suggestible than the average person.

YouTube show idea:

A brilliant psychologist who treats clients using his own model of mental pathology as well as the knowledge he's gained from books on how to read people. He's able to quicikly deduce the heart of the client's issues and figure out the most likely best solution. Similar to House M.D., but instead of being a jerk he's the opposite and actually extremely empathetic. Edited similar to BBC's Sherlock (text on screen, close up shots of things he's noticed). He understands how the brain works so well he's able to visualize what is happening inside someone's head (like what brain areas are lighting up) at any given moment. He's always trying to find a cure for some disorder and is constantly making breakthroughs.
